1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. sifted plain flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter.
    Gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes on medium speed on the mixer.
    Add flavoring.
    Stir flour with baking powder and salt.
    Add eggs, one at a time, to creamed mixture beating well after each addition. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition until smooth.
    Pour into 3 layer cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
    Turn out.
    Cool on rack.
    Frost with Pineapple Cake Icing.
