Fried Parsnip - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. parsnips
sprinkle desired amount black pepper
small amount salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
Preparation

Peel and slice long ways.
Put butter or bacon grease in skillet.
Sprinkle with black pepper, a little salt and 1/2 cup of sugar.
Add just a little water (1/4 cup or less).
Let cook until brown, turn over and cook until tender or done.
They are candy when done.
