Apple Pan Dowdy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 cooking apples
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 stick butter or margarine
    cinnamon
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Peel and slice apples into salt water to keep from turning brown.
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and egg by hand. Place drained sliced apples into 8 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
    Cover with topping mixture.
