California Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. yellow corn meal
2 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 pkg. chili seasoning
2 tsp. seasoned salt
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can sliced ripe black olives
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation

In a medium skillet, cook ground beef until brown and crumbly.
Drain and set aside.
In a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish, combine corn meal, milk and egg and mix well.
Add ground beef and remaining ingredients, except cheese.
Stir to mix.
Bake uncovered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Sprinkle cheese over top of casserole and continue baking until cheese melts.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
