Basic Red Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. finely chopped onion
    1/3 c. salad oil
    1 1/2 c. ketchup
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. Worcestershire
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 drops Tabasco sauce
Preparation
    Cook onion in oil until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients; simmer 15 minutes.
    Cool; store in refrigerator or freezer.
    Makes 1 quart.
