Mile High Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 egg whites
    pinch of salt
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Mix together cornstarch and 2 tablespoons sugar.
    Add water and cook until clear.
    Beat egg whites until foamy.
    Add pinch of salt, vanilla and 6 tablespoons sugar, one tablespoon at a time. Beat until thick and holds a stiff peak.
    Add cornstarch mixture to egg whites.
    Beat 2 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until brown.
