Ingredients

1 (9-inch) pie crust
1 c. granulated sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 pt. boxes strawberries
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
1/4 tsp. red food coloring
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch and 1 pint strawberries in saucepan. Cook on low heat and stir until sauce is thick and smooth.
Remove from heat; add lemon juice and food coloring.
Cool.
Sprinkle confectioners sugar over bottom of pie crust.
Fill with remaining box of berries.
Spoon cooked, cooled sauce over berries.
Chill about 4 hours.
Serve with whipped cream.
