Butterscotch Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. oleo
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cook oleo and sugar over low heat until bubbly.
    Remove from heat and cool.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
    Add vanilla, then the sifted dry ingredients, coconut and nuts; mix thoroughly.
    Spread on greased 9 x 13-inch baking sheet; bake in moderate oven for about 25 minutes.
    While warm, cut into squares.
    Do not overbake.
