Plain Cornbread(Pone) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white cornmeal
    boiling water
Preparation
    Use enough boiling water just to moisten the cornmeal.
    Coat a heavy skillet with oil. Shape pones 1/2 inch thick.
    Place in covered skillet, over medium flame and brown both sides. Very good with beans, greens and sliced onion.
