Irish Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 stick margarine
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. raisins
    1 1/2 c. milk
    caraway seed
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients.
    Crumble in margarine with fingers. Add raisins and caraway seed.
    Beat egg and milk together.
    Add to dry mixture, retaining 1 teaspoon.
    Makes stiff dough.
    Roll out and put in a round pan.
    Make at cross on top and brush with leftover egg mix.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    For 3 small loaves, bake 1/2 hour.
