Giant Polka Dot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. quick rolled oats
    1 tsp. water
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (7 oz.) pkg. plain M&M candy
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Beat in egg, then water.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture and blend well.
    Stir in oats.
    On greased cookie sheet, spread 3 teaspoons dough in 3 1/2-inch circle, 2 1/2 inches apart. Press in M&M's.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
