Kornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk (buttermilk best)
    1/4 c. lard, melted
    1/2 onion, minced
    5 dried sage leaves, crumbled
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together; add milk, well beaten eggs and lard.
    Bake in greased cast-iron skillet about 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
