Old-Fashioned Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 stick butter
Preparation
    Combine ingredients and cook until chicken is tender.
    Remove bones and skin.
    Set aside 2 cups of broth.
    Put chicken back into broth and boil.
    With one cup of water, make a stiff dough.
    Roll thin and cut into strips, about 2-inches long.
    Drop into chicken, a small part at a time.
    Cook without lid about 5 minutes.
    Cover and cook about 5 more minutes.
