Joy'S Stained Glass Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. Karo white syrup
    1/2 c. water
    red: oil of peppermint
    red: cinnamon
    green: wintergreen
    yellow: sassafras
Preparation
    Bring almost to 300\u00b0.
    Add a color.
    Boil to 300\u00b0.
    Then add 1 teaspoon flavor (1/8 ounce bottle).
    Remove from heat.
    Stir a couple of minutes.
    Pour into well-greased large flat pan.
    It should be 1/8-inch thick when poured.
    When cold, break and place in powdered sugar.
    Repeat for each color.
