Collectors Cocoa Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. cocoa (3 oz.)
    1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Beat 1 minute at medium speed.
    Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
    Add alternately with water to creamed mixture.
    Pour batter into 2 greased and floured cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes for 9-inch pans.
    Cool for 10 minutes.
    Remove from pans.
    Cool and frost.
    May be baked in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan for 35 to 45 minutes or until pick comes out clean.
