Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. apples, cored and chopped
    1/2 c. water
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. allspice
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Place apples and water in slow cooker. Cook on low for 10 minutes. Add sugar and spices. Continue cooking on low for 8 more hours. Remove lid from slow cooker and cook for 1 hour or until apple butter reaches desired consistency. Spoon into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
