Ingredients

6 medium size beets or 1 can
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. oleo
Preparation

Cook beets. Cut into thin slices or cubes.
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and vinegar in a saucepan.
Let sauce boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add butter and pour over beets. Let stand to absorb the flavor.
