Soft-Frozen Lemonade - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 lemons
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    maraschino cherries (optional garnish)
    mint leaves (optional garnish)
Preparation
    Cut and squeeze lemons.
    Remove seeds but leave some of the pulp.
    You should have about 3 cups of juice.
    Pour juice into a gallon-sized glass beverage container.
    Heat 1 cup water to boiling.
    Add sugar and stir until sugar dissolves.
    Add to lemon juice and add enough water to make full gallon.
    Stir well.
    Place in freezer and check after about 3 hours.
    Stir to keep lemonade from freezing solid.
    Stir often to form a slush, scraping ice from sides of jar.
