Scottish Shortbread - cooking recipe

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Into a large bowl, measure all ingredients, except the 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
With mixer at medium speed, beat ingredients until well mixed, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula.
Pat dough in 9 x 9-inch baking pan.
