Country Apple Pie - cooking recipe

pastry for a (9-inch) unbaked crust
6 c. tart apples, sliced
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Preheat
oven
to 450\u00b0.
Arrange apple slices in pastry lined pie
plate.
Then
sprinkle
with lemon juice.
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; sprinkle over apples. Dot with butter and cover with top crust.
Flute and slash top crust.
Bake 15 minutes.
Reduce
heat to 350\u00b0.\tBake 30 to 40 minutes longer or until apples are tender.
