One Egg Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour

Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening. Add vanilla, milk and egg. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Pour into greased and floured 8 x 8-inch cake pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Good as shortcake for strawberries.
