Nonalcoholic Holiday Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 beaten eggs
    2 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. whipping cream
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    ground nutmeg
Preparation
    In a large heavy saucepan, beat eggs.
    Add milk and sugar. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture coats a metal spoon. Remove from heat.
    Cool quickly by placing pan in a sink or bowl of ice water and stirring 1 to 2 minutes.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Chill 4 to 24 hours.
