Creamed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 average size head cabbage
    1 block butter or oleo
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
    2 c. milk
    1 c. grated cheese
    salt to taste
    red and black pepper to taste
    cracker crumbs
    cheese strips
Preparation
    Melt butter in pan.
    Add cornstarch or flour and stir.
    Slowly add milk; stir until thick and smooth.
    Set aside.
    Cut cabbage in two-inch pieces.
    Boil in salted water about 15 minutes, then drain.
    Set aside.
    Add grated cheese and seasoning to white sauce.
    Stir until cheese is melted.
