Shortbread Cookie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, separated
    1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
    1 stick butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 stick margarine
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream butter and margarine.
    Add sugar, egg yolk, vanilla and flour and cream until smooth.
    Use wrapper from butter to spread dough in cookie sheet.
    Lay a piece of wax paper over top to help smooth batter evenly.
    Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
    Beat egg white until stiff, along with 1 teaspoon sugar.
    Spread over dough.
    Sprinkle with fine nuts.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
    Remove from oven at once.
    Cut into squares.
