Candy Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. sugar
    2 c. whipping cream
    1 c. white syrup
    2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    red food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cream and syrup well.
    Boil without stirring until it makes a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
    Beat as long as you can.
    Separate in three parts.
    Knead coloring into one part, a 1/2 cup of nutmeats in one part and the melted chocolate in the third part.
    Knead as long as you can.
    Place chocolate layer in bottom of buttered loaf pan, then the layer with nuts and the red layer on top.
    Decorate with pecan halves.
