Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. sour milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. finely cut rhubarb
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add egg.
    Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
    Add alternately with sour milk.
    Add vanilla and rhubarb.
    Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan and sprinkle top with 1/3 cup sugar, mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Nuts may be used in both cake and topping.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
