Black Beans With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. dried black beans
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. garlic salt
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 medium bell pepper, diced
    garlic salt to taste
    hot, cooked rice
    sliced green onions (optional)
Preparation
    Sort and wash beans.
    Place in a Dutch oven.
    Cover with water 2-inches above beans.
    Let soak overnight.
    Drain beans.
    Cover with water 1-inch above beans.
    Add 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon garlic salt.
    Cover pan and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 2 to 3 hours or until tender.
    Remove cover and simmer until liquid thickens.
