Scalloped Chicken - cooking recipe

1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
1/3 c. slivered almonds
1 envelope onion mushroom soup
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 c. milk
1 c. cooked chicken, cut up
1 c. sliced cooked potatoes
1 c. sliced cooked carrots
Preparation

Melt butter and saute almonds until light brown.
Stir in soup with flour and milk.
Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring constantly until thick, approximately 5 minutes.
Grease 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Layer 1/2 cup potatoes, chicken, carrots, plus 1/2 of sauce.
Repeat layers and top with remaining sauce. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
