Gumdrop Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. small gumdrops, cut in half
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease the bottom only of a loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch).
Beat all of the ingredients, except the gumdrops and the nuts, in a large mixing bowl on low speed for 15 seconds. Then beat on medium speed constantly for 30 seconds.
Stir in gumdrops and nuts.
