Chess Cake Or Bobby Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 (16 oz.) light brown sugar
    2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    confectioners sugar
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch pan; set aside.
    Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat.
    Remove from heat and add sugars and vanilla; blend well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add flour; blend well. (Stir in nuts, if desired.)
    Pour in prepared pan and bake 40 minutes.
    Turn out on wire rack.
    Sprinkle confectioners sugar over top; let stand until cool.
    Cut into squares.
    This cake has a pudding-like consistency and will fall slightly after it is removed from oven.
