Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. vinegar
1 c. water
1 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 c. salt (cut salt in half)
4 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. turmeric
1 1/4 tsp. celery seed
1 to 3 sliced onions
cucumbers, sliced to fill gal. jar
Preparation

Put onions in bottom of gallon jar.
Slice cucumbers and pack tightly on top.
Pour brine over cucumbers and put on lid.
Keep in refrigerator.
Ready in about a week.
Will keep for several months.
