Lemon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 c. boiling water
1 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1 lemon rind, grated (1 large lemon)
1/4 c. lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
1 pie shell (unbaked)
Preparation

Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt.
Add water slowly, stirring to dissolve ingredients.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add butter; remove from fire and cool slightly.
Add beaten egg yolk, rind and juice of lemon and mix well.
Pour filling into baked pie shell.
Top with meringue.
Brown in slow oven.
