Texas Red Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. hamburger meat
    1 c. (8 oz.) chili powder
    2 Tbsp. cumin
    2 Tbsp. oregano
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 to 2 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
    4 cloves minced garlic
    2 qt. beef stock
    1/2 c. corn meal
    1/2 c. cold water
Preparation
    In a large kettle, brown hamburger, one pound at a time. Remove after each cooking and set aside.
    When last meat is cooked, return other browned meat to kettle. Add all other ingredients except corn meal and water.
    Bring to a boil, then simmer with kettle covered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Mix corn meal and water together in a cup and add to kettle.
    Simmer another 20 to 30 minutes.
    Can add or delete spices to taste.
