Patsy'S Spicy Pickles(Yields 3 Quarts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. vinegar
    4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    4 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
    3/4 tsp. white mustard seed
    3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. salt
    cucumbers to fill 3 qt.
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over fresh whole cucumbers and let stand 12 hours.
    Drain and wash cucumbers and slice as you desire.
    Pack slices into hot jars.
    Bring vinegar solution mixture to a boil and pour over pickles in jar and seal.
    Put jars in hot water bath for 5 minutes.
