Tamale Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. lean ground pork
1 med. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 small bell pepper, chopped
chili powder, to taste, about 2 Tbsp.
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. salt
2 c. salsa
1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 pkg. cornbread mix
Preparation

Brown meat, add onions, garlic, bell pepper, chili powder, cumin and salt.
Cook 5 min.
Check seasoning now!
Pour into casserole dish.
Top with prepared cornbread batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Top with cheese when you take it out of the oven. (Canned jalapeno may also be used as a garnish for a spicier dish.
