Cold Asparagus - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bunch fresh asparagus
    red or green leaf lettuce
    1 jar sliced pimientos
    alfalfa sprouts
    balsamic vinegar
    ground pepper
Preparation
    Cut off hard ends of asparagus; boil spears for 5 minutes. Place lettuce leaves on a dish.
    Place pimientos over the lettuce (drain oil).
    Place 5 asparagus spears on top of lettuce and pimiento.
    Top asparagus with a clump of sprouts.
    Chill in refrigerator for 1/2 hour.
    Pour balsamic vinegar to taste over asparagus.
    Sprinkle ground pepper to taste.
