Chicken Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 stick butter
    salt and pepper
    1 small fryer, cut up in pieces without skin
    1 c. heavy cream
    1 tsp. curry
    3/4 c. brandy or Madeira
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter on low heat.
    Salt and pepper chicken and cook, covered, on low heat 45 minutes or until tender.
    Remove chicken to platter.
    Add cream, curry, brandy or Madeira in existing juices in pan.
    Stir over low heat, but do not boil or cream will curdle.
    Return chicken to pan and spoon sauce over it. Can be served with rice and salad.
