German Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 (12 oz.) cans evaporated milk
    1 (4 oz.) bar sweet cooking chocolate, cut up
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 beaten egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (9-inch) pie crust
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, combine 1/3 cup sugar and cornstarch. Measure 3/4 cup evaporated milk and set aside.
    Stir the remaining evaporated milk, the chocolate and 1 tablespoon margarine or butter into sugar mixture.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes more.
    Gradually stir about 1 cup of hot mixture into egg yolks; return mixture to saucepan and bring to gentle boil.
    Cook and stir 2 minutes.
    Stir in vanilla. Turn hot filling into baked pie crust.
