Ingredients

2 1/4 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. soda
24 oz. chocolate chips
3 c. nuts
Preparation

Use food processor to grind oatmeal very finely.
Cream together butter and sugars.
Add eggs, vanilla, flour, oatmeal and remaining dry ingredients.
Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Form large balls and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Dough can be frozen and thawed.
Makes approximately 120 large cookies.
