Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dry bread cubes
    4 c. milk, scalded (I use 2%)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Soak bread 5 minutes in milk.
    Add sugar, butter and salt. Pour slowly over beaten eggs.
    Add vanilla and mix well.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart greased baking dish.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until firm.
    Set in pan of hot water to bake.
    This makes a custard on bottom.
