Green Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 green peppers
    12 red peppers
    6 to 8 medium sized onions
    hot peppers (as desired)
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed (optional)
    1/2 tsp. turmeric (optional)
Preparation
    Grind peppers and onions together. Cover with boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain. Boil other ingredients together with peppers for about 10 minutes more. Pack into hot sterilized jars and seal. Makes 6 pints.
