Kraut 'N Brisket - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef brisket
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    1 (27 oz.) can (about 3 1/2 c.) sauerkraut, drained
    1 tsp. caraway seed
    1 medium potato, peeled and shredded (2/3 c.)
Preparation
    In skillet, brown meat in a small amount of hot oil.
    Add onions, water, salt and bay leaf.
    Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add sauerkraut, potato and caraway seed.
    Simmer 30 minutes more or until meat is tender.
    Makes 5 to 6 servings.
