Chinese Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. beef or more, sliced thin
pepper to taste
oil for frying
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 1/4 c. water
1 onion, sliced thin
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 small head cabbage
1 can bamboo shoots or Chinese vegetables
rice or Chinese noodles
Preparation

Slice meat thin and sprinkle with pepper.
Brown meat in oil. Add golden mushroom soup, water, onion and soy sauce.
Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
Add cabbage, cut into 1-inch pieces and bamboo shoots or Chinese vegetables.
Simmer, covered, for 8 minutes or until cabbage is done.
Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 4 to 6. Cooking time is 1 hour and 45 minutes.
