Boiled Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rice
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 well-beaten egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. milk
    2 rounded Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Boil rice with salt until soft.
    Add 2 cups milk and sugar. Let come to boil.
    Add egg and vanilla.
    As soon as it comes to a boil, add cornstarch and 3/4 cup milk (which has been shaken together in a shaker) and boil until thick, stirring constantly. Eat warm or cold.
