South Of The Border Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    4 oz. can diced green chilies
    2 tsp. oregano
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. tortilla chips
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Monterey Jack cheese
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion for 8 to 10 minutes; drain.
    Add tomato sauce, chilies and oregano.
    Cook over low heat for 10 minutes and remove from heat.
    In a greased 2 1/2-quart casserole, layer 1/2 the chips (4 ounces), Monterey Jack cheese, cut in 1/2-inch cubes and beef mixture.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
    Remove from oven.
    Top with sour cream and sprinkle on Cheddar cheese. Return to oven for 3 to 5 minutes to melt cheese.
