Fried Okra Southern Style - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. okra
2 c. corn meal
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
oil for frying
Preparation

Clean okra.
Cut crosswise into small 1/4 to 1/2-inch sections. Toss with corn meal, mixed with salt and pepper, until well coated. Fry in hot oil until lightly browned.
Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
