Hot Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. sour cherries (1 can, pitted)
    1/4 c. juice from cherries
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream together butter and 1 cup sugar. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk.
    Pour into a buttered baking dish.
    Combine and heat cherries, juice and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Pour over batter.
    Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve hot with cream.
    Serves 6.
