Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. self-rising flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 c. shortening
2 pkg. (1 oz.) active dry yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
Sift flour, sugar, salt and soda together.
Cut in shortening.
Add yeast and buttermilk.
Knead well.
It may be necessary to knead in more flour.
Cut out biscuits and bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Dough may be covered and refrigerated for a week.
Makes 24 to 30 biscuits.
