Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium potatoes, pared and sliced
    2 medium onions, chopped
    4 ribs celery, chopped
    3 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 bay leaf (optional)
    milk (for thinning soup)
    salt
    paprika
    dash of Worcestershire sauce
    boiling water
Preparation
    Saute first 3 ingredients together in 1 1/2 tablespoons butter. Add boiling water to cover.
    Add salt and bay leaf.
    Boil vegetables until potatoes are tender.
    Place in blender.
    Add 2 tablespoons butter.
    Thin soup with milk.
    Add salt, paprika and dash of Worcestershire.
    When ready to serve, garnish with parsley, chives, cut up franks or diced ham or croutons.
    Serve hot or cold.
