Fennel Drop Butter Wafers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
`1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. whole fennel seeds
3/4 c. sifted unbleached white flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Cream until light the butter and sugar. Beat in egg, vanilla, fennel seeds and sifted flour.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into granulated sugar and place unsugared side down on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake about 7 to 8 minutes or until rims are brown.
Cool on rack.
Makes 2 dozen.
